- No concrete pump available for floor slab pourĀ so a dumper had to be used ā long pour, awkward Ā and slow ā and completed in sectionsĀ
- M&E equipment lead-times meant constructionĀ sequencing challengesĀ
- Logistics for install of the switchgear panel were arduousĀ due to tunnel length and environment ā only 50mm play in a window used with a portable telehandlerĀ
- Windows and ceiling tiles completed in the last weekĀ in conjunction with M&E so that openings were sufficientĀ for equipment installationĀ
Scope:
blu-3 was principal contractor for the firstĀ phase development of an international dataĀ centre providing 10 x 42U data cabinets upĀ to a max. 14kW per cab requirement at theĀ Marsa power station, housed in the power Ā stations underground tunnels, which provideĀ stable structures with ideal low temperaturesĀ year round.Ā
