BLU-3 CHAIRMAN SET FOR 300-MILE CHARITY BIKE RIDE
Chairman of Kent-based construction company blu-3, Danny Chaney, will take to the saddle alongside 100 other cyclists for a gruelling 300-mile, five-day bike ride from London to Brussels on behalf of Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to improving the health of babies and children.
Departing September 12 from the iconic London Velodrome in the Olympic Park, the Ziggurat Bike Ride route will take the riders through the lanes of Essex to Harwich, before sailing across the North Sea to the Hook of Holland, through Haarlem and Breda and finally arriving in Brussels on September 16.
Mr Chaney said: “I’m really excited to be taking on the Ziggurat challenge to support Action Medical Research. The work they do in funding research to help sick and disabled children is absolutely invaluable and every penny raised will make a genuine impact in helping them to help others.”
Action Medical Research funds research into the diseases that affect the lives of children in the UK. Achieving breakthroughs since 1952 like pregnancy ultrasounds, the rubella vaccine and the first UK polio vaccines, the charity has helped to transform and save thousands of children’s lives. The charity uses donations to support the development of new treatments and cures.
