BLU-3 RAISES FUNDS FOR ABIGAIL’S FOOTSTEPS
blu-3 has raised £646.34 for local charity Abigail’s Footsteps.
Employees raised the funds by participating in ‘dress down blu’ Fridays from October to December 2017, whereby staff made cash donations in exchange for wearing casual work day clothing.
Jim Southworth, blu-3 MD, said: “I would like to thank our staff for their support and generosity. Abigail’s Footsteps is an exceptionally worthy cause and we are thrilled to be able to support its important work. As a company we are committed to giving back and look forward to continuing our charitable efforts in 2018.”
Abigail’s Footsteps works to increase awareness about stillbirth and neonatal death, while raising money to help support grieving families. The charity is influential in promoting information and empathy across UK maternity units, helping families and healthcare professionals to cope with the trauma of losing a child. From family bereavement suites to funding intensive training for hospital staff, its mission is to ensure families receive the best care possible.
The cheque was presented to Abigail’s Footsteps representatives at blu-3’s Eden House, Kent headquarters including Founding Patron and CEO, David Ward.
blu-3 will continue its charitable endeavours throughout 2018, donating the proceeds from quarter one ‘dress down blu’ Fridays to nominated charity, Leukaemia UK.
